Troubleshooting the printer

Clearing the paper path

Paper may occasionally jam in the printer. Jams are typically identiﬁed

by a CLEAR PAPER PATH or CHECK TRAY message.

To clear the paper path—

1. Open the printer cover.

NOTE: An automatic locking feature prevents you from opening the

cover during printing. If you can’t open the cover, turn the

printer

Off

and then

again. If you still can’t open the cover,

service is required.
